Assendelft Lodge & Bush Camp  is open…  situated near Prince Albert Road in the Central Karoo between the towns of Laingsburg and Beaufort West - only 800 metres off the N1. 

It is only 42 km from the quaint little town of Prince Albert and 45 km from the majestic Swartberg Mountain Pass. The isolated wilderness area, known as “Die Hel” (Gamkaskloof) is a mere 59 km away. Meirings Poort, with its breathtaking scenery, is an hour’s drive from the lodge and the world renowned Kango Caves only 98 km away. Due to its location Assendelft Lodge & Bush Camp is the ideal place to stay from where you can explore these famous sites and many other less known, but also most interesting!  

The upmarket lodge is also the ideal overnight stop for long distance travellers.

 

For those with more time at hand who want to be a bit closer to nature, you can stay at the bush camp and experience the starry heavens at night!

The lodge offers four double, air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and own entrance, whilst the bush camp has five luxury tented houses with en-suite facilities and a communal kitchen. Linen and towels are proided.

We serve dinner and breakfast. 

Dinner is R65.00 pp

How to get there?

From the South:

Take the N1 from Cape Town, pass Worcester, Touws River, Laingsburg and 86km from Laingsburg turn right at the Prince Albert turn off. The entrance to Assendelft is immediately on your right after you have crossed the railway line.  

From the North:

114km after you have passed Beaufort West you will find the turn off to Prince Albert to your left. The entrance to Assendelft is immediately on your right after you have crossed the railway line.
