Karoo
cottage is situated on a farm within the village. Enjoy the freedom of open space, no neighbours, absolute privacy, breathtaking views of the
Swartberg

The
cottage is tastefully decorated in cool
Karoo
shades and provide accommodation which is spacious and extremely
comfortable. The original clay walls
and reed
ceilings not only boast of wonderful character, but also add ambiance to
the cottage and keep it cool in summer. |

for an overnight, weekend or longer stay, the cottage is a lovely setting for a
family, two couples traveling together, or even a honeymoon.

Both bedrooms open onto the patio and each features a
private lounge area with DSTV and air-conditioning. Each room has a king-sized
bed or a pair of twin beds and a fold-out sleeper couch for young
children.

Ceiling fans provide a breeze in summer, while heaters
and electric blankets ensure snug nights in winter. The luxurious en suite bathrooms have corner baths,
separate showers and heated towel rails. Hairdryers are supplied in each
room.

The
kitchen is fully equipped, fittings include a micro-wave oven, stove,
fridge and washing machine. A selection of coffees, teas, homemade
rusks, milk and sugar are provided. For those who choose the
B&B option there are cereals to choose from, yoghurt and fruit
juice. Should you prefer a more hearty breakfast, there is a choice of 5
restaurants in town. |

Meals
can be enjoyed in the reception/diningroom or on the patio. As you
breakfast you'll be bathed in the clear morning light. In the
evening you can watch the changing hues of the sky and at
full moon, the almost unbelievably huge, buttery-yellow globe slowly
rises
above the foothills of the Swartberg. There
is a Weber barbecue, charcoal and firelighters should you wish to braai. |

Miller's
House
lies on 180 hectares of private, unspoilt Karoo veld. You can wander up
the koppie to admire the view, perhaps even taking a picnic with you. Or
simply stay on the stoep to indulge in bird-watching,
painting, reading or lazing the days away.
A breaf
stroll brings you to Miller's Restaurant and the historical Alberts
Water Mill.
