The Weltevrede valley lies 25 km from Prince Albert

and is surrounded by the Swartberg Mountains.

Come and relax in perfect tranquillity and safety in either our historic farmhouse at Weltevrede or our more up-market restored farmhouse on De Hoek. Both farmhouses date from the early 1800's. Weltevrede is a working farm, cultivating Adams figs and citrus fruit.

Weltevrede

Our lovely, historic farmhouse sleeps 2 - 6 guests and is fully equipped with bedding, towels and more. The evenings bring special romance and a return to the pre-electric days with candles and lamp light.

There are braai facilities with plenty of wood. You can cater for yourselves or make arrangements with Suzelle for your meals.

We now also offer a private cottage for two.

The Fig Farm

Get the real Karoo farm experience! Magnificent views and sunsets, crystal clear night skies, bird-watching, horse riding, baboons and buck to be seen. Bushman paintings within walking distance.

Weltevrede is a working farm and the main crop is Adam's figs which are sun-dried. Visit us during the harvesting and drying season - January 'til May and we can show you how the figs are picked, processed and packed.

We also grow oranges and naartjies and rear ostrich. Visitors are most welcome to view all the farm activities. Group lunches or dinners can be arranged.

We also offer a guided hike over the Swartberg mountains from the farm into "The Hell" during the cooler months.

Contact Suzelle at  023 5411 715 for more details.
